Tombstones
Tombstones for my halloween graveyard decorations. I did it a few years ago and it turned out really great. This year i am doing more and bigger ones.

I cut out the shape and then run a black marker along the outside. Then I make crack lines and add the RIP and humorous epitaph. For the party i will be make a black picket fence on a black wall with streamers and arrange the headstones in the background.

Tutu
Made a cute little tutu for Lillian. I made it larger than newborn so I could fit it to her when she gets here, even still I don't think she will be able to wear it out for a good while. I am planning to take some of her newborn pictures in it. Hopefully it will be all fluffy and cute in the pictures!

October craft-a-thon
October is almost upon us! Hooray to the start to the holiday season!
I think that there are so many holidays in the winter month to stave off the depression of winter that would surely fall on us if we didn't have costumes, turkey, holly and kisses at midnight to cheer us up!
We are planning to have our annual Halloween party again this year and I am open to any fun party or crafting ideas you have and plan to return the favor with (hopefully) a craft-a-day on the blog this October! I figure that between all the project I have planned in the kiddos rooms and a Halloween party to prepare for I should do okay. Plus it will be a great motivator to get all the crafty thing done that I need to do anyway!

Birmingham Zoo
We went with some of our church friends to the Birmingham Zoo. James really enjoyed it and love getting to hang out with his best little friend Raney. The First picture is my favorite! James just loves the monkeys and got to see 6 different kinds. Some where very active and this one in the picture startled him a few times but running quickly down a branch that intersected the glass, it was super funny!

James is acting out the tiger's food being thrown into his cage and splashing in the water. If you look closely you can see the tiger low in the grass eating.

Train!

Crafting for Lillian
I am working on several project for Lillian's room...well actually I have 3 rooms going at the same time! I am working on the kitchen nook, finishing James new room and Lillian's. So busy busy!
But back to Lillian's projects! I saw the cutest letters in a magazine (for much more than I was going to pay) and wanted something similar if not better. So I broke out the glue gun and decoupage and set to work at my handy-dandy crafting table.
Here is the end result and if I do say myself they are super cute and so much better than the ones I saw in the mag. ;)

First little Outfit
Even though Mom,Lisa and Gigi have bought several outfit for Lillian already, I can resist picking up some things of my own. This is the first little item to grace Lillian's closet! A little lamb sleeper.
I also picked up so super cute stuff at Dittos for Kiddos and made her a little tutu skirt for the newborn pictures that I am planning to take. She is going to be a well outfitted baby! Though I don't think anyone was worried about that!

It's a Girl!
We are so excited to say that we are having a little girl! We got several good pictures but no face shots, she was very comfortable and didn't want to move so matter how much we jiggled! So we will just have to wait for the 4-d sonogram at 28 weeks. That will be better anyway because she will be fatter and more babyish!

Little foot and little toes!
Little back! She is all folded up like a taco!

James and Jaley

James got in some good baby practice with Jade and Kelly's new baby. He did so well and really loved her. He ran down the hall of the Hospital yelling "baby Jaley!" and wanted to show he things and hold her. He is such a sweet boy and really loves babies, sometimes a little to much and tries to hug them/strangle them, but he did really well with Jaley. So hopefully he will be able to be soft with our new bundle of cuteness...here's hoping!

Ringbearer James
I finally got a hold of some digital copies of Stephanie's wedding...well mostly just James at Stephanie's wedding! He did so good and went all the way down the aisle and even went back down the aisle after the wedding, he did sit with me during the wedding. Hopefully someday I will get a copy of the video so you all can see him wave bye to me as he walked back down the aisle!
Enjoy!

Enjoy!

golf with pawpaw
James loves sports and can now add golf to his list of likes, though "base-a-ball" is still number 1! He loved playing with pawpaw and asked over and over to go play golf!
Tents glorious tents!

Family Update!
I realized that I haven't done an update in a while and that I am really slacking with my posting...tisk tisk!
Jonathan is almost done with his MBA. He will be starting his LAST class next week and he is more than excited. He has also promised to help me remove the wallpaper on the stairs when he gets done, so you are all my witnesses!
James is trucking along getting bigger and smarter everyday! He is starting to use sentences and string them together. It is very interesting to hear his thoughts and have little conversations with him. He will also be starting a music class in a couple of weeks and we are very excited about it. He will be mostly playing with instruments and learning beats, but when he turns 3 he will start learning notes and playing a piano. The program ends at age 7 and by the end they can play the piano in 3 different keys and write their own music. He loves music so we are really excited to get him in the program. I also love that he will have an new activity and make some new friends.
I am working hard on being pregnant and enjoying the prospect of another little baby in the house, if not the pregnant part! I can't wait to find out the gender so I can start decorating the nursery, even though I shouldn't wish for more projects to start with all the other ones I need to finish...the kitchen wallpaper is STILL half down....tisk tisk! haha
